Software Quality Assurance Analyst and Tester (1)

ESK Group Inc. DBA Technova Global has openings for the position of Software Quality Assurance Analyst and Tester which requires a U.S. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field and the candidates should demonstrate knowledge by completing academic courseworks in Software Engineering, Computer Architecture, operating systems, programming languages, and internet programming.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Develop, review and document plans, procedures and policies for quality and testing in compliance with company standards. Create testing programs that cover topics including software scenarios, database impacts, regression testing, negative testing, error or defect retesting, and usability.
  • Utilize a bug tracking system to document software bugs and notify defects to software developers. Develop, maintain, and upgrade automated test scripts for application products. Participate in the continuous improvement of test procedures by installing, maintaining, and using software testing tools and programs, and testing system modifications for future implementation. Support development teams to verify and/or reproduce reported issues and provide feedback to the team on software usability and functionality. Build and maintain a list of known test defects and test results to create a database which can later be used to conduct historical analysis.
  • Design, implement and conduct test and evaluation procedures to ensure the system requirements are met. Coordinate end-to-end validation with backend systems, vendors, third-party testing, and the users.
  • Collaborate with business partners, developers, and various support teams to troubleshoot and
    resolve defects and issues. Coordinate with the development team to determine future
    development deliverables for testing per the project scope and delivery dates. Participate in
    product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs,
    schedules, or potential problems. Ensure efficient and problem-free operations by monitoring bug resolution efforts, and program performance.
  • Conduct software compatibility tests with programs, hardware, operating systems, or network environments and make necessary modifications to rectify bugs and adapt to new environments.
  • Design and maintain automated test tools, scripts, and test library environment. Evaluate or recommend software for testing or bug tracking.
  • Investigate customer problems referred by technical support. Review configuration files, logs, or portions of code to conduct initial debugging to identify the cause of application breakdowns.
  • Ensure test plans alignment with the development schedule, identify any deviance from standards and suggest modifications to ensure compliance.
  • Review software documentation to ensure technical accuracy, compliance, or completeness, or to mitigate risks.
  • Configure software production environment locally and utilize beta testing sites to test system performance.
Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Full time – 40 hrs./week. M-F.
